Our Logo

The central piece around which the logo is styled is the hand-calligraphed Arabic word halal, written by the master scribe and Islamic Scholar, Shaykh Sulayman Desai, of Leicester, UK, who received his in calligraphy from the world-renowned calligrapher of his age, Shaykh Anwar Husayn Nafis Shah, rahimahullah.

In having the main component of our logo hand-written by a God-fearing scholar who received his art from a lineal chain from one master to the other, our logo emphasizes our core values of tradition, piety, taqwa, and above all else, the belief that doing things according to the prophetic model (sunnah) is superior to all other ways.

The HFSAA seal stands for Halal integrity and is gaining recognition throughout America as one of the most trusted symbols to look for. The standards that stand by it are ones which are transparent, and are in accord with the views of mainstream Muslim scholarship around the world; they do not contain any controversial and unconventional methods which cause anxiety in the Muslim community.

Anyone with this seal is a valued member of our HFSAA business membership and we have proven them to have fulfilled the highest and most respected standards of Halal.
